UMOJA

The Umoja Program is a community and critical resource dedicated to enhancing the cultural and educational experiences of African-American and other students.  Umoja is located in CC-226

EOPS

EOPS is a state-funded support program designed to provide academic support, financial assistance, and encouragement for eligible, financially disadvantaged, and academically underprepared students.  EOPS also suppports SPARC (Single Parents Arriving Ready for College), Transitions Program, Guardian Scholars, Running Start, and Dream Act Scholars

MESA

The MESA Community College Program supports students in successfully transferring to four-year universities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) majors. Major program components include self-directed student study groups clustered at designated centers, special orientation courses, academic advising/counseling, and assistance in the transfer process.

STEM

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The STEM Transfer Program’s priority is to assist Hispanic and/or low income students in creating and following a streamlined educational plan that ensures transfer to a four-year institution in a STEM area. 

Title IX

The Title IX Office at SBCC aims to ensure a campus community free from sexual misconduct and any other form of gender-based discrimination and violence. Students, faculty, and staff seeking to make a report of sexual misconduct may do so online or in person in room A-122.

Health and Wellness

SBCC Student Health Services aims to empower you to take charge of your health and well-being, to provide you with resources and information 
on topics that matter to you, and to provide free and low cost health services such as personal counseling and acute medical care to SBCC students. In addition to the Student Health Center located in SS-170, Student Health Services coordinates The WELL located in ECC 21.

Pacific Pride 

Pacific Pride Foundation's advocacy and education efforts meet the ongoing and emerging needs of a diverse population in order to create a thriving and visible LGBTQ+ community and to prevent the transmission of HIV/AIDS.

SB Trans Advocacy Network

The Santa Barbara Transgender Advocacy Network educates individuals and organizations on best practices for transgender & gender expansive clients, patients, students, congregants and families; creates and develops spaces, actions, and policies that advance the welfare of transgender and diverse gender non-conforming individuals, their families, and allies in California's Central Coast communities.

UCSB Resources Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity

The Resource Center for Sexual & Gender Diversity (RCSGD) exists as a counterspace, refuge, and sanctuary for LGBTQIA+ students, staff, faculty, and community members to gather and build power. The Center helps students and our communities facilitate resiliency skills, cultivate self-awareness, manifest self-empowerment, and build community in order to become values-based leaders. Through our programs, trainings, resources, and outreach, the RCSGD builds capacity across campus for UCSB to create and sustain more affirming environments for out LGBTQIA+ communities and to make a deeper commitment to justice.

Standing Together to End Sexual Assault (formerly Rape Crisis Center)

Standing Together to End Sexual Assault (STESA) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides confidential counseling and support services to survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones. STESA is committed to empowering survivors and eliminating all forms of sexual violence in our community. Through education and awareness, STESA aims to change the cultural norms that enable sexual assault to proliferate.

Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood is one of the nation’s leading providers of high-quality, affordable health care, and the nation’s largest provider of sex education. With or without insurance, you can always come to us for your health care. Most birth control, annual exams, HIV testing, and STD testing will be covered for free, with no copay.

American Indian Health Services (AIHS)

AIHS provides quality medical, dental, pediatric and behavioral health services to all members of our community. The patient-centered medical home model organizes primary care in a manner that emphasizes care coordination and communication between the patient, provider, and outside specialists.  AIHS doctors are leading the way in providing higher quality care at lower costs, and improving overall experience in primary healthcare.

Family Service Agency

Established in 1899, FSA improves the health and well-being of our community’s most vulnerable children, families and seniors by ensuring access to food, shelter and other basic needs, as well as providing youth mentoring, case management, substance abuse treatment, advocacy, and a wide-array of mental health programs.

Santa Barbara Rescue Mission

The Santa Barbara Rescue Mission offers support services and shelter to all who struggle with homelessness and addiction.

Transition House 

Transition House is dedicated to the solution of family homelessness in the Santa Barbara community. Capable and motivated families with children are offered life tools and respectful, non-sectarian residential services designed to alleviate poverty and restore self-sufficiency and dignity.

Santa Barbara Food Bank

The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County is ending hunger and transforming the health of Santa Barbara County through good nutrition.  Food Services and advising is available

SB County Behavioral Wellness

The mission of the Department of Behavioral Wellness is to promote the prevention of and recovery from addiction and mental illness among individuals, families and communities, by providing effective leadership and delivering state-of-the-art, culturally competent services.  BeWell offers county wide mental health services.
